QuTech and Fujitsu have joined forces to accelerate the development of modular quantum computers, combining QuTech’s world-class expertise in quantum computing and communication with Fujitsu’s leading-edge R&D and quantum-inspired technologies.

The two partners are working together to realize a complete blueprint for a scalable quantum computer based on optically linked spin qubits in diamond. To develop this blueprint they take a full-stack approach. This includes realizing the qubit modules, designing the interface electronics and the micro architecture, developing wafer-scale 3D integration and integrated optics, performing benchmark proof-principle quantum algorithms and error correction codes, and performing a system engineering analysis to combine these components into a complete blueprint.
